Argue with the book, not the reader
Strong disagreement about a novel is the point. Personal attacks are not.
Nobody has to have finished
Spoiler warnings before you discuss an ending, please.
Make room
If you have spoken three times and someone has not spoken once, pause.
Translation deserves credit
Name the translator when you discuss a translated book.
No promotion without asking
Authors and publishers are welcome; use the submission form rather than the chat.
Report anything uncomfortable
